Stances
Stances are the heart of Davy Jones' Deckhand's combat system. Each weapon comes with its own set of stances, and mastering them is the key to pulling off devastating counter-attacks.
How Stances Work
Play a Stance Card to load it into your primary or secondary stance slot. A secondary stance appears behind the primary like a shadow. Once a stance is active, you can load Parry points onto it using Technique cards.
When an enemy attacks, compare your active stance's Parry points to the attack's Break value. If they match exactly, you trigger a Counter-Attack. Too many or too few Parry points and you miss the window — or take damage.
